Pe de alt\u0103 parte, o oblicitate mare &#8211; adic\u0103 axa de rota\u021bie a planetei este orientat\u0103 c\u0103tre sau departe de Soare &#8211; d\u0103 na\u0219tere la poli extrem de calzi sau reci. \u00cen acela\u0219i timp, ecuatorul se r\u0103ce\u0219te, deoarece Soarele nu str\u0103luce\u0219te deasupra ecuatorului pe tot parcursul anului. Acest lucru are ca rezultat anotimpuri drastic variabile la latitudini mari \u0219i temperaturi sc\u0103zute la ecuator.<\/p>\n<p>C\u00e2nd o planet\u0103 are o oblicitate mai mare de 54 de grade, ecuatorul ei devine \u00eenghe\u021bat, iar polul s\u0103u se \u00eenc\u0103lze\u0219te. O schimbare mare \u0219i dramatic\u0103 a oblicit\u0103\u021bii poate transforma \u00eentreaga planet\u0103 \u00eentr-un bulg\u0103re de z\u0103pad\u0103, unde totul este acoperit de ghea\u021b\u0103.<\/p>\n<p>Cercet\u0103torii au descoperit c\u0103 Marte se clatin\u0103 mai mult pe axa sa dec\u00e2t P\u0103m\u00e2ntul, chiar dac\u0103 ambele au aceea\u0219i \u00eenclinare, iar acest lucru are de-a face cu Luna care orbiteaz\u0103 P\u0103m\u00e2ntul. Luna planetei noastre trage de axa de rota\u021bie a P\u0103m\u00e2ntului \u0219i o propulseaz\u0103 \u00eentr-o precesie mai rapid\u0103. Astfel, Luna stabilizeaz\u0103 oblicitatea P\u0103m\u00e2ntului, iar P\u0103m\u00e2ntul nu se clatin\u0103 pe axa sa la fel de mult ca Marte.<\/p>\n<p>Mii de exoplanete, sau planete din afara sistemului nostru solar, au fost descoperite \u00een ultimele decenii.
