Suflul exploziei a fost sim\u0163it ca un uragan, p\u00e2n\u0103 la o distan\u0163\u0103 de 200 km. Zgomotul asurzitor a fost auzit p\u00e2n\u0103 la Kansk, localitate aflat\u0103 la o distan\u0163\u0103 de 800 km distan\u021b\u0103. Unda de \u015foc a f\u0103cut de dou\u0103 ori ocolul lumii, fiind \u00eenregistrat\u0103 de barografele din Potsdam \u015fi din Londra. Timp de trei nop\u0163i, \u00een c\u00e2teva capitale europene, oamenii au putut s\u0103-\u015fi citeasc\u0103 ziarul \u015fi f\u0103r\u0103 ajutorul luminii artificiale. Peste 20 de milioane de arbori au fost smul\u015fi din r\u0103d\u0103cini, p\u00e2n\u0103 la o distan\u0163\u0103 de 40 km de epicentru. Ce anume putea s\u0103 produc\u0103 astfel de efecte?<\/p>\n<p>Leonid Kulik, ini\u0163iatorul expedi\u0163iilor organizate \u00een zona dezastrului, din 1927 p\u00e2n\u0103 la izbucnirea r\u0103zboiului, era convins c\u0103 vinovatul nu putea fi dec\u00e2t un meteorit gigantic. Cercet\u0103rile \u00eentreprinse au demonstrat, \u00eens\u0103, inexisten\u0163a craterului \u015fi a fragmentelor care ar fi trebuit s\u0103 marcheze impactul violent al unui corp de mari dimensiuni cu solul. \u00cen schimb, chiar \u00een epicentrul exploziei, acolo unde totul ar fi trebuit s\u0103 fie zdrobit, pulverizat, p\u0103durea r\u0103m\u0103sese \u00een picioare, dar copacii erau mor\u0163i: f\u0103r\u0103 v\u00e2rfuri, f\u0103r\u0103 crengi, p\u0103reau o \u00eengr\u0103m\u0103dire de st\u00e2lpi \u00eenfip\u0163i \u00een p\u0103m\u00e2nt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A explodat o nav\u0103 cu motor nuclear&#8230;?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pornind de la aceste constat\u0103ri, ca \u015fi de la relat\u0103rile martorilor \u015fi datele privind explozia, Aleksandr Kazan\u0163ev a emis o ipotez\u0103 neortodox\u0103. \u00centr-un articol publicat \u00een num\u0103rul din ianuarie 1946 al revistei <em>&#8222;Vokrug Sveta&#8221;<\/em>, el sugera c\u0103 globul de foc ar fi putut s\u0103 fie o astronav\u0103 propulsat\u0103 de un motor nuclear. \u00cen acest caz, dac\u0103 explozia s-ar fi produs la o anumit\u0103 \u00een\u0103l\u0163ime deasupra solului, lipsa craterului \u015fi a fragmentelor (materia dezintegr\u00e2ndu-se \u00een v\u0103zduh) ar fi fost de \u00een\u0163eles, ca \u015fi faptul c\u0103 arborii situa\u0163i chiar dedesubtul sursei undei de \u015foc n-au fost dobor\u00e2\u0163i.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8230; sau o comet\u0103?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00cens\u0103, al\u0163i oameni de \u015ftiin\u0163\u0103 au c\u0103utat explica\u0163ii pentru tr\u0103s\u0103turile specifice ale fenomenului tungus. \u00cen 1958, K.P. Florenski s-a ar\u0103tat convins c\u0103 explozia s-a produs nu pe sol, ci \u00een atmosfer\u0103. \u00cen 1959, V.G. Fesenkov a stabilit c\u0103 evenimentul s-a produs la o \u00een\u0103l\u0163ime de aproximativ 5 km; evaluarea a fost efectuat\u0103 \u015fi \u00een temeiul analizei barogramelor din 1908 ale Institutului de geofizic\u0103 de la Potsdam, care indic\u0103 altitudinea la care s-a f\u0103cut sim\u0163it\u0103 perturba\u0163ia principal\u0103 a stratului de aer. S-a stabilit, totodat\u0103, c\u0103 trecerea globului de foc a determinat o modificare brusc\u0103 a c\u00e2mpului magnetic al P\u0103m\u00e2ntului, potrivit magnetogramelor g\u0103site la observatoarele din Irku\u0163k \u015fi Greenwich. Pornind de aici, Fesenkov a abandonat ipoteza meteoritic\u0103, afirm\u00e2nd, \u00een 1962, c\u0103 enigmaticul corp ceresc ar fi fost o comet\u0103. A\u015fa s-ar explica \u015fi luminescen\u0163a m\u0103rit\u0103 a cerului nocturn, datorat\u0103 difuziunii luminii solare \u00een norii de praf care alc\u0103tuiesc coada cometelor, sau prezen\u0163a \u00een probele de sol a sferelor microscopice de magnetic\u0103 \u015fi silicat, r\u0103m\u0103\u015fi\u0163e ale nucleului cometar. \u00cen sf\u00e2r\u015fit, explozia ar fi fost rezultatul unei reac\u0163ii chimice \u00eentre compu\u015fii hidrocarburilor incomplete din nucleu \u015fi oxigenul din atmosfer\u0103, \u00een condi\u0163iile temperaturii \u015fi presiunii ridicate ale undei de \u015foc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dar calculele exclud explozia unei comete!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Printre adversarii acestei ipoteze se num\u0103r\u0103 membrii expedi\u0163iei conduse de geofizicianul A.V. Zolotov. Ei amintesc c\u0103 P\u0103m\u00e2ntul a trecut deseori prin cozile pr\u0103foase ale cometelor, f\u0103r\u0103 ca \u00eent\u00e2lnirea s\u0103 fi dat na\u015ftere unor fenomene luminoase; de altfel, \u00een 1908 luminescen\u0163a a fost observat\u0103 \u015fi la extremitatea conului umbrei terestre, unde nu poate fi vorba de ac\u0163iunea luminii solare. Iar sferele microscopice de magnetit\u0103 \u015fi silicat constituie produse obi\u015fnuite ale dezagreg\u0103rii meteori\u0163ilor, g\u0103site pretutindeni.<\/p>\n<p>Zolotov consider\u0103 c\u0103 problema vitezei corpului reprezint\u0103 veriga principal\u0103 a dezleg\u0103rii misterului. \u00cen cazul dat, viteza poate fi determinat\u0103 stabilind raportul dintre amplitudinile undelor balistic\u0103 \u015fi de explozie, \u00eentr-un anumit punct din spa\u0163iu. Cercet\u00e2nd mai mul\u0163i copaci asupra c\u0103rora se exercitase ac\u0163iunea ambelor unde, geofizicienii au constatat c\u0103 ramurile au fost rupte numai de unda de explozie, unda balistic\u0103 &#8211; provocat\u0103 de mi\u015fcarea corpului \u015fi av\u00e2nd o putere direct propor\u0163ional\u0103 cu viteza acestuia &#8211; neafect\u00e2nd ramurile sub\u0163iri. Pe de alt\u0103 parte, martorii oculari au declarat c\u0103 vedeau globul de foc \u015fi auzeau, simultan, zgomotul trecerii lui prin v\u0103zduh, ceea ce \u00eenseamn\u0103 c\u0103 viteza deplas\u0103rii nu o dep\u0103\u015fea prea mult pe aceea a sunetului, fiind cam de 4-5 km pe secund\u0103. Chiar dac\u0103 n-am \u0163ine seama de celelalte argumente prezentate p\u00e2n\u0103 acum, o asemenea vitez\u0103 nu justific\u0103 violen\u0163a \u015fi urm\u0103rile exploziei din taiga. Ar fi fost necesar\u0103 o vitez\u0103 de zece ori mai mare pentru acumularea uria\u015fei energii cinetice a c\u0103rei brusc\u0103 transformare \u00een c\u0103ldur\u0103 s\u0103 declan\u015feze o catastrofa de propor\u0163ii at\u00e2t de neobi\u015fnuite.<\/p>\n<p>Atunci? Sursa exploziei trebuie c\u0103utat\u0103 \u00een energia interioar\u0103 a corpului, spune Zolotov. Iar pentru a defini natura ei, e necesar s\u0103 se recurg\u0103 la m\u0103rturia parametrilor exploziei, adic\u0103 a valorilor care caracterizeaz\u0103 particularit\u0103\u0163ile ei fizice. O deosebit\u0103 importan\u0163\u0103 \u00een elucidarea problemei o are cunoa\u015fterea valorii energiei luminoase, raportul ei cu energia total\u0103 degajat\u0103 indic\u00e2nd, de obicei, caracterul exploziei. La 17-18 km de epicentru, Zolotov a g\u0103sit copaci care au luat foc \u00een momentul exploziei, ceea ce \u00eenseamn\u0103 c\u0103 energia radia\u0163iei luminoase era de 60-100 de calorii pe centimetru p\u0103trat, deci de 1,5 x 10^23 ergi. Alte valori, calculate potrivit unor relat\u0103ri din 1908, se situeaz\u0103 \u00eentre 1,1 x 10^23 \u015fi 1,1 x 10^23. \u00cen concluzie, ca ordin al m\u0103rimii, energia radia\u0163iei luminoase a exploziei reprezenta c\u00e2teva zeci de procente din energia ei total\u0103, raport care pare s\u0103 exclud\u0103 posibilitatea naturii chimice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Explozie nuclear\u0103?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00cen 1958, I.M. Emeleanov semnala cre\u015fterea neobi\u015fnuit de rapid\u0103 a copacilor din zona catastrofei. Pentru a explica acest fenomen, s-a vorbit despre schimbarea condi\u0163iilor de iluminare a p\u0103durii, despre cre\u015fterea con\u0163inutului \u00een cenu\u015f\u0103 al solului etc. Expedi\u0163ia Zolotov a constatat c\u0103, dup\u0103 1908, radioactivitatea inelelor anuale izolate ale copacilor s-a m\u0103rit brusc. Se pare deci c\u0103, \u00een urma exploziei, s-a format o substan\u0163a care a p\u0103truns \u00een sol \u015fi, de acolo, \u00een plante, determin\u00e2nd accelerarea procesului de cre\u015ftere.<\/p>\n<p>\u00centr-o lucrare publicat\u0103 \u00een 1960, de c\u0103tre un grup de fizicieni din Tomsk, era eviden\u0163iat\u0103 analogia dintre unele urm\u0103ri ale exploziilor nucleare experimentale americane din 1958 \u015fi ale catastrofei din 1908: intensificarea luminescen\u0163ei cerului \u00een timpul nop\u0163ii, modificarea c\u00e2mpului magnetic al P\u0103m\u00e2ntului. Un argument care, \u00eempreun\u0103 cu parametrii exploziei \u015fi m\u0103rirea brusc\u0103 a radioactivit\u0103\u0163ii, pledeaz\u0103 pentru natura nuclear\u0103 a dezastrului tungus.<\/p>\n<p>Cu toate c\u0103 trecuse mai bine de jum\u0103tate de veac, traiectoria globului de foc nu era \u00eenc\u0103 riguros stabilit\u0103. Supun\u00e2nd unei revizuiri atente p\u0103rerile contradictorii anterioare, Zolotov a pornit de la efectele fizice ale catastrofei, ajung\u00e2nd la concluzia c\u0103 direc\u0163ia urmat\u0103 a fost de la sud-vest spre nord-est. Se \u015ftie c\u0103 exploziile dau na\u015ftere unor unde de \u015foc a c\u0103ror ac\u0163iune se exercit\u0103 \u00een mod aproximativ egal \u00een toate direc\u0163iile. Ori, epicentrul exploziei enigmaticului corp tungus e situat departe de centrul zonei distrugerilor. S\u0103 se datoreze acest fapt undei balistice? Nu, c\u0103ci zona distrugerilor se \u00eentinde mai ales sub un unghi mare fa\u0163\u0103 de traiectoria corpului \u015fi nu de-a lungul ei. Explozia a avut deci un caracter orientat, adic\u0103 ac\u0163iunea ei s-a exercitat inegal \u00een diferite direc\u0163ii.
