Acum, \u00eentr-un studiu nou, cercet\u0103torii au demonstrat teoretic un nou mod de a aduce lumina \u00een sta\u021bionare: ei au ar\u0103tat c\u0103 lumina se opre\u0219te \u00een &#8222;puncte excep\u021bionale&#8221;, adic\u0103 punctele \u00een care dou\u0103 moduri luminoase se adun\u0103 \u0219i se coalizeaz\u0103, \u00een unde de ghidaj, care au o anumit\u0103 simetrie.<\/p>\n<p>Spre deosebire de majoritatea celorlalte metode folosite pentru a opri lumina, noua metod\u0103 poate fi modelat\u0103 pentru a lucra cu o gam\u0103 larg\u0103 de frecven\u021be \u0219i l\u0103rgimi de band\u0103, ceea ce poate oferi un avantaj important pentru aplica\u021biile viitoare de \u00eencetinire a luminii.<\/p>\n<p>Cercet\u0103torii, Tamar Goldzak \u0219i Nimrod Moiseiev, de la Technion &#8211; Institutul Israelian de Tehnologie, al\u0103turi de Alexei A. Mailibaev de la Institutul de Matematic\u0103 Pur\u0103 \u0219i Aplicat\u0103 (IMPA) din Rio de Janeiro, au publicat o lucrare privind oprirea luminii \u00een locuri excep\u021bionale, \u00eentr-un num\u0103r recent din revista &#8222;<i>Physical Review Letters<\/i>&#8222;.<\/p>\n<p>Dup\u0103 cum explic\u0103 cercet\u0103torii, punctele excep\u021bionale pot fi create \u00een undele de ghidaj \u00eentr-un mod simplu, prin modificarea parametrilor de c\u00e2\u015ftiguri \u015fi pierderi, astfel \u00eenc\u00e2t dou\u0103 moduri de lumin\u0103 se coalizeaz\u0103 (se combin\u0103 \u00eentr-un mod). De\u0219i lumina se opre\u0219te \u00een aceste puncte excep\u021bionale, \u00een majoritatea sistemelor, o mare parte a luminii se pierde \u00een aceste puncte. Cercet\u0103torii au ar\u0103tat c\u0103 aceast\u0103 problem\u0103 poate fi rezolvat\u0103 prin utilizarea unor unde de ghidaj cu simetrie de paritate-timp (PT), deoarece aceast\u0103 simetrie asigur\u0103 faptul c\u0103 pierderile \u0219i c\u00e2\u015ftigurile sunt \u00eentotdeauna echilibrate.
