Denumit WFIRST &#8211; Wide Field Infrared Survey Telescope &#8211; aceasta \u00eei va ajuta pe cercet\u0103tori s\u0103 dezlege secretele energiei \u00eentunecate, a materiei \u00eentunecate \u0219i pentru a explora evolu\u021bia Universului.<\/p>\n<p>Programat pentru a fi lansat la mijlocul anilor 2020, acest nou telescop &#8222;monstruos&#8221; va descoperi noi lumi \u00een afara sistemului nostru solar \u015fi va c\u0103uta lumi care ar putea fi potrivite pentru via\u021b\u0103. WFIRST este cel mai mare proiect NASA dup\u0103 telescopul spa\u0163ial James Webb, care va fi lansat \u00een spa\u0163iu \u00een 2018.<\/p>\n<p><em> &#8222;WFIRST are poten\u021bialul de a ne deschide ochii la minunile Universului, \u00een acela\u015fi mod \u00een care a f\u0103cut-o \u015fi Hubble&#8221;<\/em>, a declarat John Gr\u00fcnsfeld, \u015feful Direc\u021biei de Misiuni \u015etiin\u0163ifice NASA. <em>&#8222;Aceast\u0103 misiune unic\u0103 va combina capacitatea de a descoperi \u0219i de a caracteriza planetele dincolo de propriul nostru sistem solar cu senzitivitatea \u0219i optica, pentru a explora ad\u00e2nc \u00een Univers, cu scopul de a descoperi misterele energiei \u00eentunecate \u0219i materiei \u00eentunecate&#8221;<\/em>, a explicat oficialul NASA.<\/p>\n<p>WFIRST va cerceta mari regiuni ale cerului, \u00een lumina infraro\u015fie, pentru a r\u0103spunde la \u00eentreb\u0103ri fundamentale despre structura \u0219i evolu\u021bia Universului \u0219i pentru a extinde cuno\u0219tin\u021bele noastre despre planetele din afara sistemului nostru solar, cunoscute sub numele de exoplanete. Telescopul spa\u0163ial va avea un instrument de coronografie, conceput pentru a bloca str\u0103lucirea stelei analizate, dezv\u0103luind astfel lumina slab\u0103 a planetelor care orbiteaz\u0103 stelele respective. Prin blocarea luminei stelei, se vor permite m\u0103sur\u0103tori detaliate ale compozi\u021biei chimice a atmosferei planetare, detremin\u00e2ndu-se astfel semnele chimice ale mediilor potrivite pentru via\u021b\u0103.<\/p>\n<p>Telescopul va putea monitoriza luminozitatea a milioane de stele din regiunea central\u0103 aglomerat\u0103 a galaxiei noastre \u015fi va putea m\u0103sura distan\u021bele a mii de supernove.
