Epotilona B stabilizeaz\u0103 microtubulii, structurile proteice cilindrice cu diametrul de aproximativ 25 de nanometri care formeaz\u0103 schelele interne din interiorul fiec\u0103rui neuron. \u0218obolanii au avut nevoie de mult mai mult izofluran pentru a-\u0219i pierde reflexul de redresare.<\/p>\n<p>Un studiu din 2025 pe \u0219oareci a reprodus rezultatul folosind diferi\u021bi compu\u0219i modificatori ai microtubulilor. O observa\u021bie clinic\u0103 din 2015 a constatat c\u0103 pacien\u021bii cu cancer care primiser\u0103 anterior chimioterapie cu taxani, care modific\u0103 \u0219i dinamica microtubulilor, au prezentat o sensibilitate m\u0103surabil diferit\u0103 la anestezicele inhalate \u00een timpul interven\u021biei chirurgicale. Farmacologia standard a anesteziei nu a prezis nimic din toate acestea. Trei linii independente de dovezi, m\u0103sur\u0103tori moleculare, modele animale \u0219i o popula\u021bie clinic\u0103, au indicat aceea\u0219i structur\u0103 prin acela\u0219i mecanism, \u0219i nimeni nu a avut o explica\u021bie clar\u0103 pentru niciuna dintre acestea.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Microtubulii<\/strong> ar trebui s\u0103 fie structurali. Ei men\u021bin forma neuronului, transport\u0103 molecule de-a lungul lor \u0219i ajut\u0103 la divizarea celulelor \u00een timpul replic\u0103rii. Neuro\u0219tiin\u021ba i-a tratat ca pe ni\u0219te instala\u021bii sanitare biologice timp de 30 de ani. Ceea ce nu ar trebui s\u0103 fie este relevant pentru con\u0219tientizarea dumneavoastr\u0103. Totu\u0219i, de fiecare dat\u0103 c\u00e2nd cineva efectueaz\u0103 un experiment care atinge integritatea microtubulilor \u0219i apoi m\u0103soar\u0103 profunzimea anesteziei, cele dou\u0103 se leag\u0103 \u00eentr-un mod pe care modelele existente despre cum func\u021bioneaz\u0103 anestezia nu \u00eel pot explica. Acest tipar este ceea ce face ca aceste rezultate s\u0103 fie semnificative dincolo de anesteziologie.<\/p>\n<p>Motivul pentru care acest lucru este important se trage de la o \u00eentrebare nerezolvat\u0103 din 1995, c\u00e2nd filozoful <strong>David Chalmers<\/strong> a numit ceea ce el a numit problema dificil\u0103 a con\u0219tiin\u021bei. Neuro\u0219tiin\u021ba poate descrie modul \u00een care creierul proceseaz\u0103 informa\u021biile: cum se propag\u0103 semnalele electrice prin sinapse, cum codific\u0103 re\u021belele reprezent\u0103rile lumii exterioare, cum aten\u021bia selecteaz\u0103 anumite semnale \u00een detrimentul altora. Ceea ce nu poate explica este de ce oricare dintre aceste procese produce o experien\u021b\u0103 subiectiv\u0103. De ce exist\u0103 ceva ce se simte atunci c\u00e2nd vezi culoarea ro\u0219ie, \u00een loc ca creierul s\u0103 calculeze pur \u0219i simplu lungimea de und\u0103 de 700 de nanometri \u00een \u00eentuneric, f\u0103r\u0103 niciun martor interior? Fiecare teorie serioas\u0103 a con\u0219tiin\u021bei s-a lovit \u00een cele din urm\u0103 de acest zid. Procesarea poate fi descris\u0103. Experien\u021ba nu poate fi derivat\u0103 din descriere.<\/p>\n<p>Un mic grup de fizicieni \u0219i neurocercet\u0103tori a petrecut trei decenii argument\u00e2nd motivul pentru care neuro\u0219tiin\u021ba clasic\u0103 nu poate rezolva aceast\u0103 problem\u0103 este c\u0103 lucreaz\u0103 cu o fizic\u0103 gre\u0219it\u0103. <strong>Mecanica cuantic\u0103<\/strong> permite fenomene f\u0103r\u0103 echivalent clasic: <strong>superpozi\u021bia<\/strong> &#8211; unde un sistem exist\u0103 \u00een mai multe st\u0103ri simultan p\u00e2n\u0103 la m\u0103surare; <strong>inseparabilitatea<\/strong> &#8211; unde dou\u0103 particule \u00eemp\u0103rt\u0103\u0219esc o stare corelat\u0103 pe orice distan\u021b\u0103 \u0219i <strong>coeren\u021ba<\/strong> &#8211; unde st\u0103rile cuantice r\u0103m\u00e2n structurate \u00een loc s\u0103 se degradeze imediat \u00een aleatoriu clasic.<\/p>\n<p>Fizicianul <strong>Roger Penrose<\/strong> \u0219i anestezistul <strong>Stuart Hameroff<\/strong> au propus \u00een 1996 c\u0103 microtubulii sus\u021bin coeren\u021ba cuantic\u0103 \u00een interiorul neuronilor \u0219i c\u0103 aceast\u0103 con\u0219tiin\u021b\u0103 apare atunci c\u00e2nd aceast\u0103 coeren\u021b\u0103 atinge un prag \u0219i se pr\u0103bu\u0219e\u0219te \u00eentr-un eveniment guvernat gravita\u021bional. Modelul a fost atacat imediat. St\u0103rile cuantice din \u021besutul biologic cald \u0219i umed la 37 de grade C erau a\u0219teptate s\u0103 se modifice \u00een aproximativ 100 de femtosecunde, o zecime de trilionime de secund\u0103, prea scurt pentru ca ceva util din punct de vedere computa\u021bional s\u0103 se \u00eent\u00e2mple.<\/p>\n<p>Ceea ce s-a schimbat sunt datele experimentale din ultimii 3 ani. Un studiu din 2023 a m\u0103surat modul \u00een care energia electronic\u0103 fotoexcitat\u0103 migreaz\u0103 de-a lungul re\u021belei de microtubuli folosind duratele de via\u021b\u0103 ale fluorescen\u021bei reziduurilor de triptofan, unit\u0103\u021bile de aminoacizi \u00eencorporate \u00een peretele tubului. Energia s-a deplasat 6,6 nanometri \u00eentr-un model de und\u0103 coerent, nu \u00een saltul aleatoriu pe care \u00eel prezice fizica clasic\u0103. C\u00e2nd cercet\u0103torii au ad\u0103ugat medicamente anestezice, izofluran sau etomidat, at\u00e2t distan\u021ba de transfer, c\u00e2t \u0219i timpul de coeren\u021b\u0103 s-au scurtat semnificativ. Un studiu din 2024 a \u00eenregistrat st\u0103ri cuantice \u00een preparate izolate de microtubuli care persist\u0103 timp de aproximativ 10 nanosecunde, cu patru ordine de m\u0103rime mai mult dec\u00e2t estim\u0103rile teoretice mai vechi. Un studiu separat din 2024 a descoperit c\u0103 zeci de mii de reziduuri de triptofan din re\u021bele mari de microtubuli radiaz\u0103 lumin\u0103 \u00een ceea ce fizicienii numesc <strong>super-radian\u021b\u0103<\/strong>, unde ansamblul emite mult mai puternic dec\u00e2t ar prezice componentele sale individuale. Toate aceste rezultate provin din preparate de laborator, nu din \u021besut cerebral viu, iar aplicabilitatea lor la un creier func\u021bional intact r\u0103m\u00e2ne neconfirmat\u0103.<\/p>\n<p>Rezultatele anesteziei \u0219i rezultatele fluorescen\u021bei se conecteaz\u0103 acum \u00eentr-un mod pe care farmacologia standard nu \u00eel poate explica. Dac\u0103 procesele cuantice microtubulare sunt necesare pentru con\u0219tiin\u021b\u0103, medicamentele anestezice ar trebui s\u0103 suprime con\u0219tiin\u021ba prin perturbarea acestor procese, iar poten\u021ba unui medicament ar trebui s\u0103 scad\u0103 odat\u0103 cu gradul de perturbare pe care \u00eel produce. Studiul fluorescen\u021bei din 2023 a ar\u0103tat c\u0103 exact asta se \u00eent\u00e2mpl\u0103 la nivel molecular: anestezicele scurteaz\u0103 coeren\u021ba propor\u021bional cu puterea lor clinic\u0103. Studiile pe animale din 2024 \u0219i 2025 au ar\u0103tat c\u0103 protejarea structurii microtubulilor face ca animalele s\u0103 fie mai greu de anesteziat. Datele clinice din 2015 au ar\u0103tat acela\u0219i model direc\u021bional la oamenii a c\u0103ror dinamic\u0103 a microtubulilor fusese modificat\u0103 de chimioterapia anterioar\u0103. Niciunul dintre aceste trei seturi de date nu a fost conceput pentru a testa aceea\u0219i ipotez\u0103. Toate trei indic\u0103 aceea\u0219i direc\u021bie.<\/p>\n<p>Chiar dac\u0103 efectele cuantice asupra neuronilor sunt confirmate la fiecare nivel experimental, niciunul dintre programe nu a produs o regul\u0103 care s\u0103 conecteze aceste efecte la experien\u021ba subiectiv\u0103. Modelul microtubulilor \u00eencearc\u0103 s\u0103 lege acest lucru prin argumentul lui Penrose conform c\u0103ruia colapsul func\u021biei de und\u0103 gravita\u021bional\u0103 se conecteaz\u0103 la propriet\u0103\u021bile proto-fenomenale \u00eencorporate \u00een geometria spa\u021biu-timpului.
